DIY gone Awry

Our apologies in advance for this not particularly positive podcast. With the absence of Frogger and Toad (staying with relatives) Sarah and Paul take to the microphone to have a good old whinge about DIY, renovations and plaster.

As our shed clearing task sheds new challenges in our path, we discuss those jobs that you wish you’d never started and encourage you to get in touch with your stories.

Practical Zen, a guide to mindfulness by Julian Daizan Skinner gives us an insightful introduction to take charge of our own mental health and happiness.

Compulsory Register for HE

Welcome to our little podcast, bringing you a spot of educational sunshine to brighten this dreary start to April.

We plunge head first into the Charlotte mason curriculum as provided, for free, in the amblesideonline website. In our first week of this 12 week term trial, frogger and toad share their thoughts about it and we discuss the key aspects.

Frogger tells us a cautionary tale of brain over brute.

Meanwhile, our ever helpful, scape goating government prepare a bill on home education and a compulsory register. Do contact your mp and get your views included!

Taste the difference

We’re enjoying a small break from our studies this week and so to celebrate we ask Frogger and Toad to take part in the secret food test.

After being blind folded, the children are given 9 small samples of food which they have to examine and identify with the help of our lovely assistant, Paul.

Have a great rest of the week podcast listeners and we will be back soon.

Happy holidays.
