  1. Loved listening! I am Melisa πŸ™‚ I am Super Sam’s mom. He is super because he loves the earth and his parents. He cares for the animals of the forest and loves learning. He’s based on a very real little boy who isn’t so little anymore. The stories were born from stories that I told my son, Sam.

I promise your oldest would not be bored πŸ™‚ there are so many fun things that are part of grade 1, not just reading and writing. So many fun bits. Music, stories, art, handwork.

The colors of the day connect to rhythm. When children are learning the rhythm of the week at home it is less abstract to them to learn the color of the day than the name of the day. They might know that purple day is cleaning day and maybe they know that on yellow day they go on outings. The colors, planets, scents, grains are not of Steiner’s invention, just someting we do in Waldorf to work with our rhythm. πŸ™‚

I do think your children would all love circle time once they learn all the songs and verses with the hand movements.

Thank you so much for the shout out! Your podcast is wonderful!
